Two new directors for Wallwork Heat Treatment Ltd, Bury
Simeon Collins and Ian Griffin have both been promoted to director at Wallwork Heat Treatment Ltd (WHT), one of the leading UK heat treatment specialists.
Simeon Collins, appointed as sales director, joined WHT in 1993 after graduating in engineering from the University of Salford, to work in the design and build of heat treatment equipment. He joined the sales team in 1997, after the acquisition of the Tecvac hard coating business in the same year to develop hard coating sales. Following a period in heat treatment sales, Simeon was promoted to group sales manager in 2005. He is married, with one daughter, and was awarded an MBA from the University of Huddersfield in 2008.
Ian Griffin, appointed as production director, joined WHT in 1986 as an electrical engineer, working on plant design development. After moving to production in 1995 he worked in a variety of departments, at the same time working to qualify as a metallurgist. Ian was promoted to works manager in 2001, and subsequently completed his qualifications as a metallurgist when he was awarded his HND at the University of Bradford in 2004. Ian is married with two children and lives in Rawtenstall.
Since the acquisition of Tecvac in 1997 the Wallwork Heat Treatment Group has become one of the leading heat treatment and hard coating businesses, with an annual turnover of more than £12 million, and more than 200 employees at three sites, in Bury, Manchester, Smallheath, Birmingham, and Swavesey, Cambridge. The business is a substantial service supplier to the aerospace, medical and advanced engineering sectors.
