Forest of Dean welcomes Teledyne Geophysical Instruments

Civic leaders, Vantage Point Business Village executives, and local councillors welcomed Teledyne Geophysical Instruments on Tuesday 9th December, when the company celebrated its move into the new 33,000 sq. ft. complex at Vantage Point Business Village, Mitcheldean. Teledyne Geophysical Instruments, is part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, a global leader in electronic components, instruments and communications products, specialising in undersea survey equipment for oil and gas exploration.  At Mitcheldean Teledyne Geophysical Instruments is building hydrophones and streamer sections for marine geophysical exploration.

Vantage Point Developments has purpose-built the 33,000 sq. ft. complex to Teledyne Geophysical's requirements, matched carefully to production methods.

"This new build provides a great environment for Teledyne Geophysical," commented (UK Operations Manager) Sebastian Goodison, " We hope to recruit more when the economic outlook is right.  Most of our staff, previously working in Gloucester, have transferred to Mitcheldean."

"Naturally, we are very pleased to see Teledyne here," said Vantage Point chairman Brian Bennett.  Teledyne is a vital player in the oil and gas exploration business, and brings a range of technical, IT and communications skills to Mitcheldean."
