Teledyne's UK-based Geophysical Instruments company to move to Mitcheldean
Teledyne Limited and Vantage Point Developments have agreed to build a new 33,000 sq ft manufacturing complex at Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire. This major project allows Teledyne to move from Gloucester to a new purpose-built base in the Forest of Dean. It is anticipated that the building will be complete in the third quarter of 2008. This move illustrates the company's commitment to Gloucestershire and the United Kingdom.
Chairman of Vantage Point Brian Bennett commented, "This is another major step for Vantage Point. We will be pleased to welcome Teledyne to the Vantage Point Business Village. This multi-million development will provide a world class company that is engaged in a highly technical and competitive industry, with high quality facilities."
Vantage Point and Teledyne are pleased to acknowledge the help received from the Forest of Dean District Council's Economic Regeneration team, as the project team worked to obtain planning permission. James Woodcock, Economic Development Officer commented. "We welcome this project and are pleased to see that another leading business has recognized all the unique environmental advantages of the Forest of Dean. The locality has a substantial number of highly-qualified people and businesses, which can support Teledyne in this venture, and we hope that many more people who travel daily to Gloucester will now have an opportunity to live and work locally in a world class business."
