All new S6400 road sweeper built by Stocks Sweepers Ltd

Stocks' new S6400 road sweeper, to be shown at FutureSource in June, brings new standards of cost, practicality and reliability to road sweeping and street cleaning. Industry leading features include a sweep width of 3650 mm and 1400 litres of on-board water storage to maximise daily road surface coverage. Built on a DAF chassis, Stocks' S6400 comes with a high level of installed standard equipment included in the on-the-road price.

Standard equipment includes, for example, dual sweep brush systems, high pressure water system, overhead wander hose, reverse cameras and safety features such as beacons and pulsed radar sensors. Many more 'efficiency and safety extras' are installed as standard equipment.

Maintenance and ease of operation are also priorities. The roof-mounted wander hose can be greased from ground level, eliminating operator climbing risks, and the cab includes compact, ergonomic control panels designed to minimise operator distraction.

The latest production techniques have been used to ensure maximum life and reliability, with stainless steel and powder coated critical surfaces. Auxiliary power is provided by an EU Stage IIIA compliant Perkins engine, with a choice of 57 to 97 kW gross power output.

High performance sweeping is guaranteed. With an operational sweeping speed of up to 16 km/hr and sweep width of 3650mm, the S6400 can sweep many roads in a single pass. The brush power down facility with high pressure water jetting allows effective removal of 'run-in' compacted dirt, and easily picks up larger deposits such as gravel, hardcore and cans, aided by the tilting suction box. The dual water systems are equally effective, with water spray, dust suppression and high pressure jetting at up to 150 bar through front and side spray bars or hand lance.

Litter picking, leaf collection and gulley emptying are all easy and operator friendly using the roof-mounted, counter-balanced wander hose suction system. Suction efficiency is maintained by an easy clean rear mesh screen system, which automatically lowers the screens during rear door opening to make screen cleaning and washing easy and convenient. Debris on the screens can also be cleared by using a remote manual cable system without opening the rear door.

Standard chassis mounting with a variety of configurations can be supplied, depending upon customer requirements.
