Marek Jagus to lead financial management
at London General Insurance Company Ltd
Marek Jagus BSc (Hons), ACA has been appointed general manager of finance operations at London General Insurance Company Ltd (LGI), based at the company's new operations centre in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire.
Marek was educated at St Brendan's College, Bristol, and Brunel University. Before joining LGI earlier this year Marek worked in a range of businesses in the financial and insurance sector, including English & American Group, Eastgate Group, and Capita Insurance Services, where one of his responsibilities was to integrate the finance functions of newly acquired business. Before joining LGI, Marek was client accounting manager at Threadneedle Property Investments, managing the finances of its largest property funds.
Marek's key role at London General Insurance will be the continued provision of secure financial control systems for the varied client base served by LGI's new operations centre, which was successfully relocated from Harrow to Mitcheldean during the first quarter of 2008.
Marek commented, "LGI is a rapidly developing business, with many different financial challenges as we support our clients in the automotive, retail and financial services sectors. One of my key tasks will be to ensure fast and responsive systems while building a friendly, dynamic and capable team to provide support for the business and our varied client base."
