New appointment for Claire Merryfield at London General Insurance
Claire Merryfield has been appointed section manager at London General Insurance's new operations centre at Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire, reporting to administration general manager Kerry Fernandez.
Claire Merryfield, who lives in Lydney, joined London General Insurance Company Ltd (LGI) in January, and played a vital role as team training and operations transfers took place over a 12-week period. As section manager, Claire heads up a team of 12 associates who handle extended warranties and service contracts. The team works with motor dealerships throughout the UK, using LGI's award winning CRM software, The Connection.
'The Connection' is an advanced website which allows motor dealers throughout the UK to register warranty, insurance and service plan products and to submit claims for the Mitcheldean administration and claims teams at LGI. 'The Connection' works alongside other advanced IT systems at LGI including automatic call distribution, interactive voice recognition and automatic database updating with information about warranty holders, vehicles, claims and dealer actions.
Claire said, "My team had a considerable challenge to meet, as calls climbed to 300 a day, but LGI provided me with first class support and training. We're now running at 100 per cent of our planned workload, and making plans for more business development."
