Three new Team Leaders at London General Insurance
As business continues to grow at London General Insurance (LGI), new appointments have been made in the Customer Service Centre. Three Forest of Dean people have been promoted to Team Leaders in the Customer Service Centre group serving Tesco. Sarah Whitfield, from Cinderford, Lisa Thomas, from Lydney, and Liz Coghlan from Littledean all joined LGI in the first year of operations at Mitcheldean.
Sarah Whitfield joined LGI from the catering sector and has now been promoted twice in the last 18 months. She received more than 8 weeks training in IT, communications and customer service as her career developed at Mitcheldean.
Lisa Thomas also started with a different career in mind, and studied at Hartpury before joining LGI. She joined LGI in November 2007, starting as Customer Service Advisor, and was quickly promoted to Senior Advisor in March 2008,
Liz Coghlan had a good year in 2008, achieving second place in the CCF Awards in September, from a standing start at LGI in January 2008. She attended Whitecross School in Lydney and the Royal Forest of Dean College and was promoted to Senior Advisor in March 2008.
All three support Tesco operations, managing warranty support for Tesco's home electrical entertainment, electronics, and computer products. Despite the recession this activity is still growing at Mitcheldean for LGI. Customer Service Centre General Manager James Tomlin commented, "We're very pleased to promote these three enthusiastic members of our team. Our policy is to recruit and train local staff, and they all demonstrate that this pays off for both our employees and our business."
