‘The Connection’, an innovative customer relationship management (CRM) system, which forms a key element of London General Insurance's (LGI) new administration and contact centre at Mitcheldean, has been recognised with a National Sales Award for innovation and excellence. Christine Geissmar, divisional operations director of The Warranty Group (TWG), LGI’s parent business, received the CRM Implementation of the Year award at the National Sales Award event held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 4th March.
‘The Connection’ is an advanced website that allows motor dealers throughout the UK to register warranty, insurance and service plan products, and to submit claims for the Mitcheldean administration and claims teams at LGI, led by Kerry Fernandez of Bream and Suzanne Bailey of Cinderford.
‘The Connection’ works alongside other advanced IT systems at LGI, including automatic call distribution, interactive voice recognition and automatic database updating with information about warranty holders, vehicles, claims and dealer actions.
“We were all very pleased to see Christine and the team receive the award,” said Alison Pollecutt, who has helped lead the TWG project to establish the administration and contact centre for LGI at Mitcheldean. “It’s important to note that our IT technology was also short listed for the Vodaphone ‘Best use of Technology Award’.”
Alison continued, “'The Connection' is vital to our work at Mitcheldean. It helps our business support complex registration and claims processes. Our clients’ motor dealerships are able to register a sale with us immediately and provide their customers with the documentation they need at point of sale. It also helps these motor dealers to manage claims effectively, and enables our people here to operate their work flow in an efficient and friendly way.”
