London General Insurance Company Ltd (LGI) is the European underwriting company for The Warranty Group (TWG), specialising in warranty and creditor insurance and service contracts. Its clients include manufacturers, retailers and distributors of consumer electronics and motor vehicles and banking and financial services organisations. LGI has developed its new European operations base at Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. Support and back office facilities were progressively transferred from two centres in Greater London to the Forest of Dean in early 2008.
As part of The Warranty Group’s European operations, London General Insurance Company Ltd writes and administers insurance business in 21 countries throughout mainland Europe.
